The controller features 4 back-attached metal paddles (M1, M2, M3, M4) that can be remapped to replace all the action buttons, including the L3 and R3 buttons. The default factory settings have these 4 paddles mapped to replace the 4 action buttons.

The metal trigger buttons can be set to register a press at the halfway point, providing faster and more sensitive button clicking for shooting games. These triggers can also be switched to a full-range motion by simply clicking the 2 small metal buttons on the back of the PS4 elite wireless game controller.
